Central Coast Chapter

The Central Coast Chapter of CAMFT currently has 196 members located throughout San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara counties. We have a fun and collaborative board which begins each year with a day-long retreat for goal-setting, budget planning, and the essential time to connect with one another to co-create a common vision for the year ahead.

 The chapter meets every other month beginning in January of each year.  Our first meeting is a networking meeting during which members introduce themselves by giving a brief summary of their areas of interest and specialization, as well as describing their practice.  Music and food is provided, and once the introductions are accomplished, we mingle and get to know one another.  This is a great way to learn about possible referrals.  During the rest of the year, our meetings are more structured with speakers with a variety of topics, ranging from practice-building to dream work and including integrative therapies.  Food is also provided at these meetings which are free to our members. 

Every other year, we host one of the State CAMFT Attorneys for a Law & Ethics workshop.  The chapter is currently building its intern support and working on a speakers’ bureau.
